Glacier speeds toward big vein drilled into. - The Glacier Silver-Lead Mining company has drifted 50 to 60 feet on No. 4 level toward the large vein penetrated by the diamond drill recently and is progressing steadily at the rate of five feet a day, F. W. Kiesling, secretary-treasurer, Spokane, reports. The propery, which is equipped with a mill, is eight miles south of Libby, Mont. The diamond drill revealed that about 200 feet of tunnel would have to be driven to contact the vein. |
