Description |
Police guard valuable mine exhibit. "Why the policeman? Is there going to be a riot?" exclaimed a woman visitor at the mining convention as she saw a police officer on duty at one of the exhibits. The officer, from the Spokane police department, is J.L. Costigan, on guard over a $20,000 exhibit of gold and other highly valuable specimens. Bliss Moore, president of the Northwest Mining association, has in his hand a gold bar worth $2300, from the Northern Gold company. The third man in the picture is J. Richard Brown, chairman of the exhibit committee. |
