Description |
Exploring for ore found near the shaft at surface - "Crosscuts are proceeding in two directions from the bottom of a 175-foot shaft in the property of the SIlver-Antimony Mining company, Chewelah, Wash." said G. H. Van Dusen, a stockholder, yesterday. "The west crosscut, driven 100 feet, has penetrated 10 feet of mineral that is marked with ribbons of ore containing silver and copper, some of it in the native form. The east crosscut, driven 45 feet, is directed at a body of silver and antimony four feet wide at the surface." |
