General Mines to sink in ore - descent of 250 feet from tunnel in search of continuous shoot - The cutting of a station for a 300-foot shaft was started a week ago in the main workings of the General Mines corporation, on Little Pine creek, Coeur d'Alene region, and adjoining the Page mine. Its objective is the 60-foot porphyry dike and its cross veins of gold and silver ore, opened in 1400 feet of drifting, according to H. G. Loop, president. Ore occupies the face of the drift. |
