Because of a slip encountered about 200 feet from its objective, a point under a showing of silver ore in the No. 4 tunnel, the Independence Lead mines near Mullan is cross-cutting to locate the vein on the 500-foot level. The company has been drifting on that level, according to H. B. Kingsbury, Wallace, manager. |
