Close shakes with max big man |
Description |
Close shakes with Max Big Man. - Upton Close, noted political writer and world traveler, born on the Cowlitz Indian reservation in this state, met Max Big Man of the Crow tribe at the Davenport this morning. The striking looking Indian, here to attend the retail lumbermen's convention, proved in a few minutes' conversation with the writer that he was fully aware of the world's economic ills. Big Man stated the salvation, not only of his race, but the nation and the world, rested squarely on the shoulders of the younger generation "out of which will come a modern Moses to lead us out of the wilderness." |
