Indian girl is attacked. - Is drugged by assailant at Sandpoint. - Found lying unconscious on railroad track by section foreman. - Anna Isaacs, and Indian girl, on her way from Plains, Mont., to Cusick, Wash., was drugged and assaulted here early Sunday morning. She was discovered unconscious on the Spokane International right of way by the section foreman and taken to the city hospital, where, after several hours, she regained consciousness. Miss Isaacs is 17 years old, well educated, attractive and neatly dressed. She arrived here late Saturday night over the Northern Pacific, unaccompanied, and as near as can be learned was attacked while on her way from the Northern Pacific to the Great Northern depot. |
