$2,000,000 in deficiency bill now before house, has no strings on it. Ask $25,000 for Basin. Want U. S. to continue federal cooperation in preliminaries for Columbia Basin. Two million dollars for the Kittitas irrigation project, in addition to the $750,000 now available, is appropriated in the first deficiency bill reported to the house of representatives today. The appropriation has no strings tied to it and becomes immediately available when the bill becomes a law and remains available until June 30, 1927. |
