The $16,000,000 road bill passed the senate tonight by a vote of 41 to 3, with two absent, after the senators had voted down amendments to allow $500,000 or $300,000 for the Aurora bridge condemnation costs, and had eliminated a provision permitting purchase of the Brewster toll bridge for not less than $350,000. |
