Description |
Washington's birthday is a holiday at Camp Lewis. Most of the men will be relieved from duty in the morning and will not be required to return to camp until 6 o'clock Saturday morning. A patriotic program will be given in the Liberty theater at 10 a. m., under the direction of the Fourth degree, Knights of Columbus. Use of the theater was granted to the Knights of Columbus by Colonel E. A. Braden, director of camp entertainment. Brigadier General Frederick S. Foltz, division commander, and Governor Ernest Lister of Washington will address the soldiers. The address of the morning will be delivered by Frank J. Lonergam of Portland, state deputy for Oregon of the Knights of Columbus. |
