Carrying approximately 50 sailors and marines, among whom were six Washington men who had won the Legion of Honor cross on the battlefield in France, a Milwaukee train passed through Spokane Saturday morning at 9:30. Three of the marines were members of the company that won the Legion of Honor at Chateau Thierry. A soldier, Clyde Harrob of Seattle, wore the regimental citation cord and the Legion of Honor medal. A number of officer, among whom was Captain Delo of Seattle, were with the boys, but no one was in charge of them, most of them having already received their discharges. |
