LEWISTON, Idaho, Oct, 25.-—Mrs.
M. J. Sweeley of Twin Falls, president of the state federation of women's elubs, announced yesterday in an
address before the state normal assembly that the federation had virtually completed the raising" of a
fund of $10,000 to be used as a loan
fund for deserving" students of f*he£
state university. Mrs. Sweeley also
said that it was the intention of the
state federation to raise similar
funds for each, of the other state
educational .institutions during the
next year or two. The plan is to lend
from the loan fund amounts up to
$250 a year to individuals who are
forced to assist themselves through
the university. No interest will- oe
charged on the loan until the recipient completes his course; then the
interest rate will be about 6 per cent
until the loan is repaid.
