New Officers Head
Woman's^s Club for
Forthcoming Year
The Portland Woman's club, one
of the city's very oldest organizations of women,- chose Mrs,-; C. W.
Hayhurst as its president for the
coming club j^ear at its annual
business meeting on Friday. Mrs.
Hayhurst has served this year as
first vice-president and will succeed Mrs. Willis W. Ross in the
presidency.
Mrs, G. L. Buland, chairman of
the club's international relations
department and international relations chairman, too, for the Oregon
Federation of Women's Clubs, was
elected as first vice-president, and
Mrs. U. G. Smith is the new second
vice-president.
Other officers who will serve with
Mrs. Hayhurst include: As financial
secretary, Mrs. William D. Horton;
treasurer, Mrs. Guy D. Johnson;
auditor, Mrs. S.. K. Fisher; recording secretary, Mrs. L. L. Mason;
corresponding secretary, Mrs. C. L.
Starr; directors, Miss Madeline
Porter, Mrs. Robert Trestrail, Mrs.
C. C. Wright. Mrs. Wright was appointed as a director to fill the
vacancy caused by the election of
Mrs. Guy D. Johnson, one of the
holdover directors, as treasurer.
Holdover directors are Mrs. W.!
H. Ross, Mrs. A. J. Boedefeld and
Mrs. Harry T. Capell.
Installation of these new,officers
will.be held on April 9.
