96,000 FROM CANADA
GET U. S. CITIZENSHIP
Ninety-six thousand natives of
Canada, in round numbers, were
admitted to citizenship in the United
States during 13 years ending June
20, 1935, the annual naturalization
running from 5078 in 1926 to 10,144
in 1932, according to a memorandum from the department of labor
recently received by Raphael P.
Bonham, Seattle, district director
of immigration and naturalization.
Mr. Bonham is spending a few days
in Portland.
Naturalizations of United States
citizens in Canada run considerably
lower, according to the department
of labor.
