IRISH WOMAN AGITATOR HELD
Kathleen O'Brennan, Avowed Revolutionary Representative, May Be
Deported.
PORTLAND, Ore., .Jan. 15.—Kathleen O'Brennan, who, according to
Federal Immigration Inspector R. V.
Bonham, is an avowed representative
in this country of Irish revolutionists, was arrested here yesterday on
a federal warrant from Washington.
Bonham announced today. She is being- held for investigation as to her
activities and if these are found to
be pernicious, will be deported.
The arrest was made on the technical ground that the woman might
become a public charge^ the inspector said. Considerable revolutionary
literature was found in her room at
a hotel and was seized.
