"TICNOCRACY" OFF FOR DAY
Father's Sox and Ties Done Up in
Same Old Deceptive Boxes.
SANTA MONICA, Cal., Dec. 25. —
This "ticnocracy" didn't seem to
make much difference with Xmas.
Father's neckties and sox were done
up in the same
deceptive boxes
they were before
the scientists took us over. People
didn't get "beer by
Xmas." They just
had to struggle
along on gin and corn.
Mr. Hoover went fishing in the
south but didn't
catch anything. He
had waited too
long and the fish
had all gone back democratic.
France went into a "huddle" and
practiced some of Shakespeare's signals, "To pay or not to pay, that is
the question; whether it's better to
pay and use the Yanks again or not
to pay and lose 'em?" Yours,
WILL ROGERS.
