IDAHO FIGHTING HIGH GAS PRICE
Attorney General Cooperating With State Automobile Association.
BOISE, Idaho, March 10.—(Special.)—An official conference to determine just what action shall be
taken to obtain lower gasoline prices
and stop alleged discrimination
against Idaho will be held in Boise
in the near future. This statement
came from the attorney general's
office Wednesday.
Attorney General Frank L. Stephan
said that representatives from his
office and from the Idaho State
Automobile association would participate, comparing the data which both
have gathered.
Hope to Bring Relief.
"We are marking time until the
association is ready," said the attorney general. "It is our hope, however, that together we will have accumulated sufficient evidence to justify some kind of action, possibly before the courts, to bring relief from,
gasoline prices.
*'I believe that we can persuade
the gasoline companies to 'absorb* the
extra cent tax imposed by the 1927
legislature."
