Lynn R. Russell lias been named
physical education director for the
downtown Y. M. C. A. to succeed
Fred K. Schutte, who has been
appointed to the metropolitan staff
of the Young Men's Christian Association as director of health education and social recreation, according to Wesley F. Rennie, general secretary.
Formerly assistant physical director and program secretary for
the central branch, Russell has
been a member of the Seattle "Y"
staff since his graduation in 1933
from the George Williams College
in Chicago.
The appointment of Schutte to
the metropolitan staff is one of
several secretarial changes which
will go into effect at the Y. M.
C. A. this fall, said Rennie.
John H. Rudd will be the public
relations director for the Metropolitan Y. M. C. A., Rennie said.
Rudd has been in charge of special
promotional work at the "Y."
Having accepted a position as
assistant boys' work secretary on
the Chicago Y. M. C. A. staff, Maxwell E. Canterbury will leave his
position as public relations secretary. He has been a secretary in
the local Y. M. C. A. for nearly ten
years.
Richard MacMorran will be assistant boys' work secretary for
the central branch of the Seattle
Y. M. C. A. MacMorran long has
been active in the Fauntleroy and
West Seattle "Y's." He will succeed
Bill Johnson, who has accepted a
position on the staff of the We-
natchee Association as boys' and
program secretary.
From the University District
Y. M. C. A., Cliff Edwards, assistant
executive, will go to Kellogg, Idaho,
where he will direct a boys' work
program for the Y. M. C. A. for the next two years.
