Inspector Fails to Identify Men as D'Autremont Brothers.
JUNEAU, Alaska, June 16. (/P)— P. L. Neil, a postal inspector, arrived here today from Portland, Ore., and after examination announced that two suspects arrested here last Wednesday are not Ray and Hugh D'Autremont.
Officers here had declared that the two prisoners and a man who eluded pursuit here were three brothers who, holding up a train in the Siskiyou tunnel on the Southern Pacific railway in Oregon, October 11, 1923, killed four of the crew. Albert Erickson, one of the prisoners, was retained on a bad check charge, and the other John Martin, for inquiry whether he has a right in American territory.
Clue in Virginia.
Richmond, Va., June 16. (/P) -- Richmond and Henrico county officers today joined in a search for three D'Autremont brothers. The trio, for whom a nation-wide search is being pushed by federal authorities, are believed to have appeared at West Point, Va., this morning in a coupe and to have headed for Richmond.
