AAA head to speak in city Ernest N. Smith
Announcement of a program of
national A. A. A, touring publications to feature the routes from
the east to the Pacific northwest
and the recreational facilities of
this area was made here today by
Ernest N. Smith, executive vice
president of the American Automobile association from Washington, D. C, to W. H. Murgittroyd,
president, and other members of
the executive committee of the Inland Automobile association, local
A. A. A. club.
Thomas P. Henry, national president of the A. A. A. from Detroit,
will arrive here from the east by
airplane tomorrow afternoon, having been delayed one day. He and
Mr. Smith will discuss plans for
extension of tourist business for
this area with the officers of the
local club. They will leave at 9:30
tomorrow night for similar meetings in Seattle, Portland and San
Francisco.
Mr. Smith will speak before the
Chamber of Commerce luncheon
Tuesday noon in the Civic building
auditorium.
