Congress draws Indian leaders. - Commissioner and superintendent of red men coming to Spokane / by Rev. James M. Brogan . In the history of Spokane and the northwest, it is written that on October 31, 1925, there was encountered a problem of housing and caring for about 3000 Indians. Haskell institute was coming to meet Gonzaga on the football field, and the neighboring Indians would gather to see the red men compete with the white. |
