House Passes Control Board Bill as Senate Eyes Licenses.
JUNEAU, Alaska, March 13. UP)— The house liquor control bill setting up a liquor control, board, a modification of the present system, was
passed by the lower branch today, 10 to 6, and sent to the senate, which still has before it its own bill calling for a licensing system. The legislature is scheduled to adjourn tomorrow midnight.
Meanwhile, the senate also passed the appropriation bill and two mining bills creating a department of mines and providing for a mineral
survey. All go back to the house for in minor a amendments.
