Flu Halts Day Nursery: Matron, Housekeeper and Many of children Ill.
Influenza has recently interfered to a great extent with the work of the woman's club day nursery, according to the monthly report of the matron, B. J. Michelet, filed yesterday. She reports that the matron and the housekeeper and many of the children have been ill with influenza, resulting in the curtailment of the work. The average attendance for the month was only 6 a day, with two a day as the lowest number and 13 in one day the highest. The children came from 14 different families, which contributed $18.10 to the nursery. The receipts for the month were $126.60, the expenses $257.63, leaving a cash balance December 1 of $501.
