Children At Home Attacked By Flu: All but One at Local Institution, Matrons, Too, Down With Disease.
One of the late calls of the influenza in Spokane was at the receiving home of the Washington Children's Home Finding society at S3120 Grand boulevard, which had been free from the epidemic until within the last few days. There are now 18 children at the home, and all but one of them, together with the matron and assistant, have been in bed for the last few days. The patients have been cared for by two special nurses, neighbors who volunteered their services, and M. A. Covington, superintendent for the society in the Spokane district. All are reported as improving. Dr. Loffler, physician for the home, has had charge.
