Description
A woman in a wide-brimmed , felt hat and polka dot dress poses for a studio portrait at Matsura's studio . The woman might be Amy Lillian Graves , an early member of the Okanogan community . Arriving in the area in 1900 at the age of six , Amy Graves carried mail on horseback for the Malott/Olema and Chilowhist Valley route at the age of seventeen and held the position of postmistress at Malott for three years . In 1915 she wed Mr . Edgar Moss , who worked for the U.S Forest Service and later in cold storage fruit sheds in Okanogan .
