Description
Matsura takes a panoramic shot of the nearly completed Conconully Dam ; the reservoir in the foreground and Peacock Mountain in the background are visible . The spillway is also present to the right . Conconully Dam reached seventy feet in height and held some 350,000 cubic feet of material . It was the first dam built by the Reclamation Service in Washington State , as well as the first attempt ever at an earth dam using the hydraulic-fill method .

Original photographic prints were scanned as 300 dpi TIFF files on a Microtek 9600XL scanner. 72 dpi JPEG files were then added to the CONTENT database at the WSU Libraries.
