Description
Gus VanSant (second from left) and Dolly Lindsay (fifth from left) join a group of eight young people for a portrait . They stand the length of a wooden and barbed wire fence near someone's home . They are wearing nice dresses and suits with corsages , which might suggest that they are at a wedding or special function . Dolly Lindsay , the popular daughter of town councilman and barber , Charles Lindsay , moved to Spokane in 1912 to attend high school and voice lessons . She often performed at Okanogan civic and church functions . Mr . Gus VanSant worked for the Chelan Forest Supervisor , Mr . Hale , and also as a clerk for the U.S . Reclamation Service Headquarters in Okanogan and in Portland .
