Description
Two young women stand for a full-length portrait taken at Matsura's studio in commemoration of their graduation from the small school at Scotch Creek Basin . One girl wears a black skirt and lace black blouse with a circular brooch . The other girl wears a white cotton or linen dress , with a similar brooch . Scotch Creek Basin lay north of Okanogan , near Riverside , Washington . The area was to be the site of the Okanogan Electric Railway's starting point for a spur line running through Pogue Prairie to Conconully .
