Description
The Okanogan Military Band , begun by the efforts of the Okanogan Commercial Club in 1907 , stand for a photo in the Grainger orchard . Their uniforms , dark blue trimmed with darker blue braid , were a new addition in 1909 , along with a series of summer concerts , performed at a new bandstand constructed on the northwest corner of Second Avenue and Queen Street . From left to right , front row : Claude McKee , Walter Pein , unidentified , Amos Tooker , Gordon Kerr , Verni Bossout , Ernie Ostenberg , unidentified and Andrew Storhow (Storkan?) . Second row : James Gard (third in from the left) , Dan Bossout , Harry Stark , Mr . Reed , unidentified , Clem Schaller (at bass drum) and Bill Schaller .

Original photographic prints were scanned as 300 dpi TIFF files on a Microtek 9600XL scanner. 72 dpi JPEG files were then added to the CONTENT database at the WSU Libraries.
