Description
The Okanogan Game Protective League , established in 1909 to promote hunting and sportsmanship , tackled the problem of annoying coyote beginning in the winter of 1910 . Coyote kill the very game birds the men hunt , and were considered a nuisance . In this photo , members of the league sit or stand on a porch ; their kill is displayed in neat rows on the stairs .
