Description
In March 1912 , A. Guthrie and Company of St . Paul , Minnesota won the contract for the Wenatchee-Pateros Branch of the Wenatchee-Oroville Line . Preparatory work on the track line was necessary , for it had slid out of place after almost three years of sitting idle . W H Colquhon , Superintendent of Construction for Guthrie and Company , supervised a total of almost 1200 men during nearly a year-long process of grade renewal , and by 1913 the line was receiving track . Here a crew works quickly to set down rails using a "track machine ".
