Description
A group of school boys plow and clear property recently donated to the school by Mrs . Virginia Grainger Herrmann . The land was to be planted and used as part of their program on agriculture and horticulture . The back of the schoolhouse is seen on the right of the picture , note the chalk marks where students had cleaned out erasers on the school's wall . Professor Savage , standing near the horses and wearing a sweater with a large "W " for his alma mater , Washington State College , supervised the work .
