Description
November 1907 , a young Reverend James Thomsen Jr . replaced Reverend Boppell as pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Okanogan . Loved by the entire community , it was a surprise to hear that Reverend Thomson would be relocating less than two years later to the Moses Lake/Quincy area . When he left he also took a new bride , Miss Letha Pogue , the daughter of one of the pioneer orchardists , Dr . J.I . Pogue . When he left , a group of bachelors presented to him a silver cup with his name engraved on it . Reverend WJ Mitchell of Friday Harbor , Washington , replaced him.
