Description
This photograph of a boy clearing the irrigation ditch leading up to a row of peach trees grown by C . Koacher , was used in the 1910 booster pamphlet : "Wenatchee : The Gateway to the land of Perfect Apples in North Central Washington. " In 1910 , the Commercial Clubs of Okanogan and Wenatchee met to discuss how they could both benefit by advertising in each other's pamphlets . Matsura's photographs were used many times , both in newspaper articles and other written work such as this, to show the world the bounty to be found in Eastern Washington .
