Description
A group of Yakama people having breakfast . At the center of the group are Kate and Caesar Williams . Williams served his tribe as policeman . Part of his duties was taking care of the tribal elders by hunting for them and supplementing their food resources . Also, Caesar Williams translated many stories helping McWhorter document the history and customs of the Yakama . Mr . Williams died an untimely death from complications during a scheduled surgery .

Digitization
Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit color, with 3000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then scanned at 24 bit, with 600 pixels by the long side, as jpeg files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries.
