Description
This Roman theater sits at the base of the Acropolis . The Acropolis served as the "Sacred Rock " of Athens and its Parthenon remains symbolic of Greek civilization . The Acropolis also houses the Erechtheion , the Temple of Athena Nike , and the Propylaea .
