Description
The entrance to the famous beehive-shaped tholos in Mycenae , a tomb of the ruling class and treasury so large in size and form that it is impossible to convey in a photograph . According to legend , Atreides lived in Mycenae , a fortress town that sent troops to fight at Thermopylae during the Persian wars . Argos conquered Mycenae in 468 BC , although the city remained populated until the end of the 3rd century AD .
