Description
First built by Marcus Agrippa in 27 BC to honor the gods , the Pantheon was later reconstructed by Emperor Hadrian in AD 120 . Later converted to a Christian church , the Pantheon remains the greatest example of ancient Roman architectural achievements . Raphael's tomb is here, along with those of kings Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I .
